Located in a quiet neighborhood of Pune, the site had an existing art-deco house, set amidst large trees. The idea was to preserve most of the trees hence the programme was to demolish the old house and construct a new one.
The key highlight of the project is the journey through the house itself, directed by a series of water bodies reminiscent of traditional temple tanks. Almost every room in the house opens on three sides, connecting with the trees all around.
While the double-height courtyards around the water bodies create a strong link with all the interactive zones of the house, the reflection of the skylight and tree foliage into the water adds a different dimension to the experience.
Principal Architect Sanjay Mohe walks us through this beautiful house cloaked in rough granite that effortlessly integrates the indoors and the outdoors.

The idea of bringing in the elements of temple into a house architecture is something that I've dreamt of since I was young. Seeing this project is quite exhilarating and blissfully relaxing at the same time. Thanks to the architect for thinking of this and Buildofy to bring it to us for us to enjoy! Keep doing awesome!

What a project. Now this is something we say a Luxury. People now a days just put so many unnecessary stuffs to look good. While beauty is in simple and sober architecture.

One of the genius thing they have done is that the house is large rectangular and big too. Being rectangular size gives a sense of large rooms and epic Ness and feels like living king size

Much better and impressive than Antilla in Mumbai, just comes to show how contemporary Indian architecture is world class.
India is the origin of civilization, architecture, vaastu and what not. It's not world class but the world's best.
P.S: You should note that glass is a heat trapper and extensive use of it will add to discomfort. Glass was used only minimal ly in Indian architecture and concepts.

what Indian design ideas did you see here? This house has a lot of industrial architecture with its open spaces and squared off edges. I don't see any Indian influence. There is no definitive Indian architecture style, or even south/north style. We had stone houses and temples before british invasion, and mughal style architecture isn't really indian. The british constructed a lot of buildings in their style.
I searched alot about antilia never found any video like this , you must have seen detailed video of antilia thts why you did such comment please can you send me that video of antilia ? i want to see that please.

Best thing is infusion of simple plain design to luxury... home is not cramped with lot of unnecessary showoff interior decorating elements........stone and colors are very soothing...space is well lit by giving way to natural light itself......kudos to architecture team one of the best projects in this channel for sure...👏👏

Excellent project. One of my favorites so far in this channel. Very good mix of traditional & modern, privacy & contemporary style, openness yet safe. Whole house giving giving a calm & positive vibes ......... most the things I personally want in my own. Giving it's 5 Bedroom, so probably a joint/big family to reside in. Wil be cheerful & engaging yet people can enjoy their personal space. Those large trees will house many birds, giving good natural music all times.
My only concern is this look very good for summer, rainy season but very cold for winters. Would have liked a little more warmth in there. Also big trees next to pool, will be a hard work keeping it clean from shedding leaves.
Also can we get a project estimate? How much did this construction & materials cost?

Such sort of architecture detailing is very encouraging to see in India. But my only critic would be the water body entering the internal space, raising the issues of maintainence? or also the real need for that function? Also I understand that the scale of this house is huge, feels like a commercial building and less like a home. Like the huge amount of corridor spaces? Maybe the building could have more rooms by reducing common areas?
